Thank you again for agreeing to join us for Cooling a Warming Planet? A Mini Deliberation on Solar Geoengineering taking place at the American Geophysical Union Conference Center, June 20, 2024 as a part of a planning workshop for a future NSF research center on participatory governance of climate intervention technologies. Note that this is a mini demonstration of one of the four sessions of two public forums held in Phoenix and Boston as a part of a Alfred P. Sloan Foundation funded Research Study on Exploring Democratic Governance of Solar Geoengineering Research in September 2018.
Mini Deliberation Participants Only (Not Applicable to Workshop Participants): It is very important that you arrive by 9:30am and check in at the registration table in the main lobby, so the program can begin promptly at 10:00 am. Kindly note that a closed session for the workshop participants will be taking place between 9-9:45 am. Please help yourself to breakfast while you wait for the closed session to end.
During the deliberation you will be seated in Tables of 5-7 with a facilitator who will guide you through the discussions. Below you will find an agenda and links to background material, direction and transportation information.
