Cooling a Warming Planet? Public Perspectives on Climate Intervention Research
Some scientists have proposed investigating whether increasing the Earth’s reflectivity could reduce some of the adverse effects of climate change. These ideas involve many scientific, technical, ethical, and social considerations. Should research go forward? What should the goals be? Who funds this research and who makes decisions about it? Discuss these questions while sharing your hopes, values, priorities, and concerns.
Participants who are selected will receive a $100 stipend for their participation. You don’t need to know anything about the topic to be selected. We are looking for participants with diverse views and backgrounds.
